If you’re interested in leadership development opportunities at The Summit…. You’re in the right place.
The following are ways you can get involved:
LEAD AT YOUR CAMPUS
Small groups are the ministry laboratory at the Summit. A small group is basically a small church – a lot of what you need to know about ministry can be learned by leading, growing, and planting small groups.
Step 1: Join a small group. Visit the “Next Steps Area” at your campus.
Step 2: Lead a small group. Contact your campus pastoral team and then fill out an application HERE.
Most of the people that work at the Summit started by serving at the Summit. Find a ministry and get plugged in. We need leaders in most areas and it’s a great way to meet people.
Next Step: Join a service team. Visit the “Next Steps Area” at your campus.
We strategically send short-term teams to encourage the church where it exists and help plant churches where it is absent. A great way to get involved at Summit and grow in your leadership is to join or lead a short-term team.
Next Step: Contact your campus pastor and Mitch at email@example.com
LOCAL OUTREACH CHAMPION
Sending champions (or simply, “champions”) are members gifted to mobilize others into mission as they go themselves. They work under the leadership and direction of the pastoral staff, and exhibit the character of Jesus, the confidence of their calling, and the competency to lead others.
Next Step: Join an outreach team. Contact your associate campus pastor to get involved.
SAM JAMES MINISTRY INTERNSHIP
This internship gives participants experience and exposure to how the Summit Church approaches ministry. Interns will work with one department while receiving training from other ministry leaders throughout the year.
GRADUATE COUNSELING INTERNSHIP
Counseling interns have the opportunity to serve the RDU community by providing free, graduate level counseling. Participants benefit from hands on training in a local church context while pursuing their graduate education.
Next Step: Apply. Contact Amy at firstname.lastname@example.org
