The best way take the gospel to new communities is a local church, and the best way to build a church is to send the church. God has called some of you to stay here in RDU to reach your neighbors, but he’s calling many of you to go.

With a goal to plant 1,000 churches in our generation, this year we are helping plant five North American churches.

Of those five, three planters will be sent out from the Summit with many of you in nine months:

Logan and Lisa Dagley | Brooklyn, NY

Logan Dagley grew up in Connecticut and North Carolina. After graduating from UNC, he moved overseas to help start a collegiate ministry in East Asia. For the past ten years, he has served as one of the pastors at The Summit Church in Durham, NC. Logan and his wife, Lisa, have three sons, Jack, Luke, and Sam. The Dagleys are preparing to move to Brooklyn and are excited to join God in his redemptive mission in New York City.

Matt and April Deal | Auburn University, Auburn, AL

Matt Dean has served as a pastor for congregations in Hong Kong, Xi’an, and Atlanta. His family has lived in Asia for six years, serving in mainland China and Hong Kong. Before living in Asia, Matt and his wife, April, co-founded Grace Campus Ministries and served the Auburn University community from 2002 until 2009. With degrees from Auburn University and Asbury Theological Seminary, Matt has served as a pastor, missionary, adoption advocate, and ministry leader. Matt and April have been married for 16 years and have seven children.

Thomas and Elizabeth West | London

Thomas West was born in Montgomery Alabama. After studying at Auburn University and marrying his high-school sweetheart, Thomas and Elizabeth moved to Raleigh-Durham in 2009. He has served as college then discipleship pastor at Providence Baptist Church for the last seven years. Thomas holds two degrees from Southeastern Seminary (M.Div. and Ph.D.) and he and Elizabeth have two children, Perry Elizabeth and Shepherd. The Wests are excited to plant a church in the capital of the world: London, England. They are eager to share the love of Jesus with families, young professionals, and immigrant communities.
